Music

Bob marley's influence on jamaica was definately to the extreme and had many different branches of influence in it. The biggest part of life in Jamaica that he influenced was music and religion. Bob Marley was born on February 6th 1945 in Nine miles, St. Ann, Jamaica. His mother was an 18 year old black girl named Cedella Booker. His father was a Man named Captain Norval Marley, a 50 year old quarter master. Bob barely knew his father. Norval would visit every once in a while but not enough to witness his son's success as an artist. In 1962 Bob auditioned for a local talent show. A record label representative heard his voice and loved it so he had Bob come in and record an album. The following year, Bob decided that the best way to continue his career was to be in a group. He hooked up with Bunny and Peter to form "The Wailing Wailers"
